Effect of Preloading Alcohol Defense?
Original post in this thread

I know Alcohol Defense is indicated for use after drinking alcohol, but what would be the effect of using it before drinking.

One thing I notice in there is some dihydromyricetin, which I use on its own before drinking to great success. Would Alcohol Defense also work well, perhaps even more effectively, when preloaded?

I've recently seen a crowd funded product cleverly named 'HangOn', for use whenever really accordingly, it says it can be used before, during, and after, which I don't entirely believe, two of the ingredients are NAC and Milk thistle, and to my knowledge NAC is damaging to the liver if taken during drinking, but then I've heard milk thistle could stop the NAC and other drugs from entering the liver. This is all from memory from reading Reddit and user reports, I sent them an email to ask about it and all they said was ' we are aware of it and took that into consideration'. What that means I don't know
And the kicker was don't they ship internationally, so couldn't get it, but if you came out with a pre-drinking stack I'd get behind that.

They took that into consideration by figuring most people wouldn't know about it, and just ignoring the risk. LOL. I personally think NAC is not a good thing to have in ANY drinking stack, due to the average knowledge level of most consumers. Many people would forget to take it, then take it after drinking. We sell NAC by itself, but we do not market it like a hangover prevention. People knowledgeable enough to use it properly can, but once you put things in front of the general public with certain marketing, things get much different.
My realization of the intelligence of the average person has been shook the past year. We sponsored the Four Peaks Oktoberfest here in town last year, and we had two tents giving out Alcohol Defense. I worked with my team some of the nights giving out samples, and people are DUMB! Just absolutely idiotic. We would immediately get done telling someone to only take it after drinking, and they would tear the pack open and take it in front of us before we could stop them. Like we literally just told you not to take it till later, but they looked at us like deer in the headlights after we got upset at them for taking it after we told them not to 5 seconds earlier... We had some people open the DynaMAX capsules in front of us, and snort them off their hand. Yes, they just rail an unknown supplement they were just handed by strangers... We had some people take the DynaMAX from us at the end of the night around midnight. We told them very clearly DO NOT take this unless you want to be up for 8 hours. Then they fucking take it right in front of us, and ask if they will be able to sleep in a couple hours. Literally just seconds after we very clearly told them to not take it till the next day. I've always known the intelligence of the average person is lacking, but that event really put it into perspective for me.
So my ethos on a more public-facing brand is now to make things very very simple and safe, and to account for the dumbest situations you can think of. If there is a chance someone might use it improperly, and that improper use could cause harm, you need to account for that. If that means leaving out a certain ingredient, then that is what we do. Fortunately we already have a tentative formula for a pre-drinking supplement that doesn't need NAC to work. So that's good. Also, milk thistle didn't even fare as well as regular vitamin C in some studies. So if people are thinking that milk thistle is going to be some amazing protection, they might as well just take some vitamin C. Not like any of these other brands give a shit, or have any idea what they are doing, though. We have done a couple shows with Natrium now, and literally nobody has any idea what they are doing or talking about. Nobody. I have all sorts of training programs for my employees that go to these events, so they can intelligently discuss the product and educate people, and the other brands hire bikini models to sit in their booths and draw people in. However, they don't even know the ingredients in the products half the time, much less how they work. So dumb.
