Nootropics Depot now reducing pill sizes

Original post in this thread

abadhe99 · 3 points

I recently received my regular shipment of Phenibut HCL 250mg from ND. Noticed the pill size is about 20% smaller than before. I don’t have a scale to weigh the old and new comparatively.

Anyone else see this?

Is there a way for us to sign up somewhere to be notified of when these will become available so I can purchase them?

I had a few questions though moving from capsules to tablets. Have you made any other nootropic in tablet form before or are you experimenting with Aniracetam? And how easy or difficult is it to check its potency if it's in tablet form? Will there be any changes in how it affects the brain versus simple capsules and will it break down in the body the same way? I honestly have no idea about all the pros or cons a switch to tablets will bring but one big pro is obviously being able to lower dosage yourself. That would be revolutionary in this industry. I'm not just not sure about the potential downsides though.

And I thought the safest and easiest bet was to launch 500 mg capsules to test the waters first? I'm onboard either way I just simply want to start ordering from you guys again as soon as possible.

Yes, we sell enteric coated gotu kola tablets. We also have a couple other tablets we have formulated, but not released yet.

You mean on our end? Pretty easy. We just crush the tablets up in our sample prep, then run them through the HPLC like we would a capsule. That way we can check to make sure it was properly dosed.

No, we will just vegetable coat these ones. If we enteric coated them it might change it a bit, but not with a regular coating.

No real downsides I can think of. Most places don't have tabletting capabilities, and the DEA watches those machines more closely for drug-related issues. So most people stick to capsules for ease.

We would only do one or the other, and the tablets offer more use cases than a 500mg capsule. It won't take us any longer than doing capsules. In fact, it might go quicker, since we have multiple capsule runs already running on the machines, but the tablet machine is open at the moment.

Third party testing was said to be unnecessary for synthetic supplements.

My support team was incorrect in that response. We absolutely do heavy metals testing on synthetics. Not that we ever find anything wrong on that front. Synthetics almost never have heavy metals present in any meaningful

Thoughtfoods.co.uk finally provides a CoA for their Aniracetam - legit or not?

No 3rd party lab makes COAs like that. That is a supplier COA. You have already seen that it is a Chinese company. That's who they got their Aniracetam from. Thoughtfoods does not do their own testing, and people should

Cerebral Health Pyritinol (New Test Results)

Replying to Guacamolium · It's done with 3rd party substance testing where nootropic companies post legitimate, verifiable COA's on each batch that they order. The COA's from China, India, Thailand, etc. ca

I think he is saying that an organization should be started that does the 3rd party testing at random, and then certifies the vendor. It could be paid for by donations, or by simply doing fees like the BBB or GMP.

They may have just not updated them on the site, or they may have not run testing on recent batches. You'd have to ask them to know for sure. You could also call Colmeric Analyticals and ask when their last testing was.
