Nootropics Depot now reducing pill sizes

Original post in this thread

I recently received my regular shipment of Phenibut HCL 250mg from ND. Noticed the pill size is about 20% smaller than before. I don’t have a scale to weigh the old and new comparatively.

Anyone else see this?

I've been using Peak Nootropics Aniracetam capsules over the past few years because they offer a 500 mg capsule which is perfect for me but I've noticed a major drop in quality recently (mainly foreign contaminants).

I've asked Nootropics Depot support over the years the possibility of making a reduced version of Aniracetam (from 750 to something smaller like 500 or 600 mg) but I'm going to ask you here directly - Can you guys please make a reduced version!?

I'm happy to pay a premium (or the same price as there's less Aniracetam per pill) just so that I can be getting it from you guys. I did consider simply buying powder and making it myself but it's a huge time sink and I honestly can't be bothered which is why I want it in pill form.

Is there a possibility of you offering something like this in the near term? I know there are many people like me out there where the 750 mg dosage you offer is simply too high and causes brain fog. And you're leaving money on the table to competitors like Peak Nootropics who offer a lower dosage albeit with inferior quality/higher margins.

Okay, I think we are going to work on making 500mg aniracetam tablets with a score line down the middle. So you can take them whole and get 500mg, or break them in half and get 250mg. That's a good use case for us now that we have tablet capabilities.

Is polygala a strong enough MAOI that it shouldn’t be combined with aniracetam?

No, it's not something you need to worry about. The main compound in polygala that has MAOI effects is called DISS (3,6'-disinapoyl sucrose). It has less than 0.5% bioavailability. This means it is likely not clinically
