Nootropics Depot now reducing pill sizes

I recently received my regular shipment of Phenibut HCL 250mg from ND. Noticed the pill size is about 20% smaller than before. I don’t have a scale to weigh the old and new comparatively.
Anyone else see this?

Ive been meaning to ask this, but how come the bottles always seem way larger than they need to be? For instance the ND Oxi bottle is like twice the size it needs to be and with quite a few products the space really adds up! Plus I'd think smaller packaging would reduce overhead costs, no?

That's likely because we switched down to smaller capsules, but did not switch the bottle/label size at the same time. There can be a slight delay if my graphic design/labeling team is a bit behind. If we switch the bottle size down we have to design a new label, do a new label change sign-off sheet, and update all our processes to reflect the change. So my production team likely did not want to hold up production and wait for the new labels to be done, and probably just moved forward with the old bottles for that run to not hold things up. We are going back through and updating them in our bill of materials, though. So we are definitely adjusting our bottle/jar sizing to more appropriately fit the contents now as well. It just might be slightly delayed from when the capsule sizes change. Going forward, things are going to be fairly standardized, and not change as much.
There can also be periods where certain bottles/jars are completely out of stock at any of our suppliers in the US. So we have to use other ones so that we don't run out of stock on the shelves. You may have gotten a white bottle in the past. We had to scramble to get more, and white was all we could source. You would be surprised just how unorganized/delayed these plastic injection molding companies can be... We have a lot more space at our facility now, though. So we can keep much more inventory in our warehouse, and hopefully avoid these things in the future. Supply chain management for the number of SKUs we have can get pretty complicated!
