Nootropics Depot now reducing pill sizes

I recently received my regular shipment of Phenibut HCL 250mg from ND. Noticed the pill size is about 20% smaller than before. I don’t have a scale to weigh the old and new comparatively.
Anyone else see this?

I've bought the ND phenibut capsules several times and I'm cool with the change. A few questions though.
What's the margin of error of the amount of phenibut in each capsule? If I wanted to take X milligrams, I would need to take a certain number of capsules and I'm wondering how far off my dose could potentially be. Is it more likely to be higher or lower than the stated amount of active ingredient?
I read someone else write that some manufacturers would never put less than the stated mg into each capsule (i.e. if it's supposed to be 250 mg, then you would never go below 250 mg, but you might go over). Is that correct?
Also, I assume it's not easy to just weigh the contents due to the filler. Do you know how much filler goes into each capsule?
Thanks

We plan for a 5% overage on capsules. So more often than not they are a bit over the target weight. Then we follow a tightened form of the USP guideline on capsule variation. So they have to fall within a 10% variation up/down from the target weight.
Most manufacturers plan to exactly target weight. They don't add more to never be under. In fact, some of the capsules can be up to 25% under and still be within USP guidelines. We tighten our standards to skew things to be a bit over target. So we will accept more over than we will under target.
