Lion's Mane 8:1 - General Malaise

Original post in this thread

Anyone else get general feelings of malaise (fatigue, low libido, lethargy, anxiety) on 250mg-1000mg of ND's 8:1 LM capsules? Hopefully my body gets used to it so I can reap the long-term benefits.

I'm taking those other 3 as well in conjunction.

The 5-AR effects should be temporary though and come back after cessation right, it's not permanent like shit like finasteride right? In theory at least. I don't mind temporary malaise.

Correct, they should be temporary. Finasteride is a much more potent one; inhibiting DHT by up to 70%. Ethanol extracts of reishi seem to be more potent than other mushrooms at 5-AR effects; in rats at least.

I am actually not seeing anything showing lion's mane has 5-AR effects. The one study most people are quoting actually measured hericium ramosum, or coral tooth fungus, not hericium erinaceus (lion's mane). Hericium ramosum inhibited 5-AR by about 30% in rats. We can't really compare that to hericium erinaceus, though.
