Lion's Mane 8:1 - General Malaise

Original post in this thread

full_silver · 3 points

Anyone else get general feelings of malaise (fatigue, low libido, lethargy, anxiety) on 250mg-1000mg of ND's 8:1 LM capsules? Hopefully my body gets used to it so I can reap the long-term benefits.

Sometimes certain things are just not right for people. I would not force yourself to keep taking something that gives you side effects. You are either sensitive to the possible 5-AR effects, or you are sensitive to the kappa opioid compounds in lion's mane. Consider that this extract just might not be for you.

That being said, I always combine lion's mane with cordyceps, panax ginseng, and shilajit to counteract some of those common side effects. I don't do long cycles of it, though.

Cordyceps, tongkat ali, KSM-66, and shilajit are the ones to combine with it. That will get your motor running.

Replying to Jack-o-Roses · Lion's mane keeps me up on occasion so I tend to take it with Cordyceps extract & freshly powdered Wisconsin ginseng in water as an after-lunch pick-me-up.

That's a good strategy, too. Cordyceps certainly keeps me up. So I reserve that for the daytime.
