What does amidation do to epitalon?

I read that amidating the C-terminus of a peptide may increase its bioavailability and stability. Let's say I still have about 80mg of reconstituted N-acetyl epitalon amidate (Ceretropic) under cold storage conditions (fridge), and I haven't touched it since 7 weeks for a reason. Can it still be used?

Amidating a peptide protects the C-terminus from enzymatic degradation, and it also lowers the polarity of the Epitalon sequence. That makes it more lipid soluble, and able to pass the blood brain barrier better.
Generally, you should use Epitalon within 30 days of reconstituting it. However, the amidated version should be more stable. It should still be usable at 7 weeks if kept in the fridge.
