Moderators: Why is flair limited to distributors? Could we add flair based on our qualifications (i.e., PhD, PharmD, graduate student, nutritionist, etc.)?

Knowing if what we are reading is coming from a trained professional is certainly worth noting when considering supplementation.

I still like the idea because it can at least distinguish those with relevant degrees from high school kids.

Yeah, as long as people actually request tags. If nobody does it, you still might be talking to a doctor or someone with a masters degree, but they just have not gotten a tag. It's going to depend on how people use it. I have a shitload of tags in RES already for people. So if I speak to you about something significant, or I know your real name from orders/support, I'll tag people. I'll also tag people I know are experts in certain areas, or are always combative in discussions, so I can frame my responses. I find that to be useful. I see the qualification tags in /r/science, but I never really get much use from them. However, that might just be my perspective on it. I see the other side, too.
