If so, that really sucks. I tried to place an order and it wasn't an option.

You Mods should create a stickie for using BTC safely and securely, BreadWallet is pretty legit and seems to be the wallet endorsed on /r/bitcoin for what it's worth - if people knew how easy it is to start using BTC with the extra inventive of anonymity, these problems with payment processors limiting freedom of speech and choice could be side stepped.

Yeah, a write-up could be good. Everyone has their preference for wallets and levels of tumbling, though. To be really anonymous, you have to get pretty complex with TOR and tumbling between other cryptos like Dash or Litecoin, then back to a "clean" wallet to purchase. Most newbies would get confused and either just give up, or screw something up and lose their coins.
There is also the other side of the equation: the vendor's ability to convert the BTC to fiat currency. It's even harder for us to be able to sell our BTC reasonably these days. Volume sets off red flags, but the more people use BTC to pay, the higher our volume gets. So we have to get more and more creative to be able to convert the BTC to fiat. While this is a temporary solution to some of our issues, I am afraid we are never going to be able to permanently sidestep the financial industry.
