How safe are second generation antihistamines?

How safe are second generation antihistamines (like Zyrtec) for long term brain health and overall health? I am aware that the first gen antihistamines like benadryl are anticholinergic, can lead to alzheimer's and should be avoided. Should I shy away from second gen antihistamines and try to address my allergic rhinitis and nasal congestion without drugs?

Haha, I am probably not a good example. I just got the telomere testing kits in! I am very curious to see what my telomere length is, since I've done a few cycles of all the Epitalons.
