How safe are second generation antihistamines?

How safe are second generation antihistamines (like Zyrtec) for long term brain health and overall health? I am aware that the first gen antihistamines like benadryl are anticholinergic, can lead to alzheimer's and should be avoided. Should I shy away from second gen antihistamines and try to address my allergic rhinitis and nasal congestion without drugs?

I've taken 3-4 Zyrtec every single day for the past 15 years. It's very safe. I cannot tell you for sure on the Alzeimer's risk. However, taking Longvida with it can help lower that risk. Zyrtec has low blood brain barrier permeability as well. So the risk is much less, if any, compared to first gen antihistamines.
