Panax Ginseng is Surprisingly Potent

I have tried my fair share of nootropics and stims, everything from -racetams, -afinils, RC, adaptogens, workout stacks..., etc. I just want to give Panax Ginseng (also referred to red and Korean ginseng) a nod because I was taken back at how effective it was to keeping my mind sharp and awake. I always assumed adaptogens would never be as potent as something like -afinil class of nootropics and boy was I wrong. I am currently trying out the sample pack from nootropic despot and you can definitely feel it, especially the GS-15 variant.
If for some reason you cannot get a hold or is risk adverse -afinil, -racetems or functional stims, I would highly urge you give ginseng extract a swirl. It will not disappoint. It is a well known adaptogen that has been heavily studied, used for hundreds of years and has an extensive array of health benefits.
Anecdotally speaking, and in terms of how stimulating it is, Panax ginseng lie somewhere between caffeine and -afinils. It gives a clear mindedness that is mildly refreshing. I can only speak for myself, but it does seem to build tolerance, the positive effects, however, remains.

I will make a big post about it soon, with all the data and evidence for it. It's going to be a very controversial post, and I have been mostly out of the office for the past couple weeks. So I wanted to wait till I was back and situated, so I can answer everyone, and give it the time it deserves.
