PSA: Mods of /r/Nootropics Censoring Comments
Original post in this thread

Hi Everyone,
I'm a regular in this subreddit, as well as a few other related subreddits. Recently I've discovered some concerning behavior (censorship) from the mods, that I think is very dangerous to this community. Let me give you an overview of what happened:
1. I create a throwaway account (/u/savorysalamander) (for account cycling), which I do occasionally do to prevent one single account from having too much personably identifiable information avaliable. Obviously IPs are consistent with my other accounts if I don't use a proxy, but this at least makes it more difficult for ordinary Reddit users to DOX.
2. I posted a few comments on this thread, disagreeing with the mods as many other users did in the thread. Nothing inflamatory was posted, and none of my comments broke any rules.
3. The mods deleted my comments. They show up in my profile but not the actual thread.
It doesn't take much thought to realize why this is incredibly dangerous for /r/nootropics users, regardless of whether or not you agree with my comments…

I assume you are referring to Ceretropic guy then perhaps there should be a rule that he shouldn't censor posts that involve other vendors, otherwise, I see nothing wrong with him censoring posts and comments that he feels are not appropriate for this board--I would actually prefer that he did, it would improve the quality of information.
We don't live in a world were one size fits all. Rules that a news organization or a brokerage firm with fiduciary responsible should have to follow are not necessarily the same rules that are needed for discussion boards such as this one.

There already is that rule, and I follow it religiously. If I didn't the other mods would immediately confront me about it. I don't think people understand just how openly us moderators discuss everything, and the care we put into ensuring everything is done above board. Furthermore, I never even saw this dude's comments, much less did anything to them. It was a brand new account, and the automoderator did it automatically. On top of that, I recommend Doctor's Best all the damn time!!! You can look back through my comments, and see me recommending them all the time for years. This whole post is another one in a long line of idiotic rants that have no basis in reality. So dumb...
