Which nootropic can upregulate GABA A receptor?

How to decrease clonazepam tolerance?
Tolerance results in a desensitization of GABA receptors and an increased sensitization of the excitatory neurotransmitter system, glutamate such as NMDA glutamate receptors.
Other changes that occur are the reduction of the number of GABA receptors (downregulation).

So GABA A antagonist and/or GABA A upregulator and NMDA antagonsit would work, yes?

Ah. Thanks a lot. This is very interesting. Of course, binding can be enhanced in many ways, some of which are purely temporary, which was the cause of my confusion reading the abstract. This is the key, I guess:
"The enhancement of muscimol binding is due solely to an increase in the density of binding sites."
Wow. Apparently those 9 times I thought my post didn't go up, it actually did. Apologies for the spam.

Yeah, it's pretty cool. Kava is an interesting compound; especially due to the reverse tolerance.
