Nootropics Depot: Mushroom Extracts!

How is there not more discussion on these?

So I've been experimenting with nootropics for 3 years or so at least. Racetams, noopept, modafinil, Prl-8-53, rhodiola, ashwaghanda, etc. I realize that these may not all necessarily be nootropic - but for the sake of cognitive enhancement and personal evolution.

So far, I've gotten one 30g container of Red Reishi and Cordyceps. I'll give my description of each.

First, I tried Cordyceps as I had a good feeling about them. One 00 sized capsule full and 4,000UI of vitamin D3 started my day.

Wow! There is an absolutely notable not placebo boost in energy. Almost a high. Lasts maybe 4-6 hours. I start the day off at 7:30 or so with it and get off work around 3. Occasionally I'll redose at that point or once I get home if I feel like being more active.

Red Reishi, now this one, I thought, was less potent. The tangible effect upon my subjective conscious experience is less prominent. Rather than a bit of a rush of Cordyceps (rush really isn't the right word, but it's close), Reishi feels more airy.

I started off with a full cap, but last time I tried half a 00 with the other half as inositol. Great success! The effects were around…

Do you know if there is difference of effects between the different colored reishi mushrooms? Or as far as we know do they have the same effects across the board?

Most research is on Ganoderma lucidum (Red Resihi). Ganoderma sinense (Black Resihi) I'm sure has some different properties. However, the substrate and growing methods have a big effect on the end compounds as well. So even two Red Reishi products, grown on different substrates/methods, can range in effects.

Most of the mushroom products out there are complete shit. USP just recently released this study. https://mega.nz/#!1JhWlKCS!kZyobFVWyYixh0Y0dIy2a1JygrSzjWUKmUKwO8lxz_U Only 5 of the 19 Reishi products tested properly.

Red reishi extract, increasing wellness.

Which extract did you take? Reishi can get super calming if you do it right. Our supercritical CO2 extract of reishi spore oil is something else. So calming. Feels like no other reishi.
