No more product reviews on Ceretropic?

I would love to allow reviews, and have open discussions about every little thing possible. I think everything I have done so far proves that to anyone watching. I even approved the worst reviews that came in. However, there is a very real possibility that Ceretropic could be shut down. I would be a fool to not legally protect the company and myself.

The reviews on the site were fairly useless anyway. They did not provide an accurate cross section of anecdotes. The vast majority of the people emailed me directly with their responses to compounds. One of the products we had up has sold over 1,000 units, but had zero reviews. We don't incentivize anyone to review, or pay for fake ones. If you think the Amazon reviews you read are legit, I have some bad new for you: many are fake. I can buy 200 Amazon reviews right now for less than $2K. I have had multiple companies approach me to provide us with that service. I think you would be surprised at just how many companies filter the shit our of their reviews, incentivize their customers to make good ones, or just pay companies to make fake ones. I see it every day.

I wish the legal and regulatory requirements were different. I wish our government did not feel grown adults need to be coddled and protected from their own free choices. The reality of the situation is that we do not live in that world. I can stomp my feet, and refuse to accept it; which would most likely end up with Ceretropic shut down. Or I can take the advice of my legal council, and hope that things will slowly change. There are plenty of sites to give anecdotal reviews of things. Risking the very existence of Ceretropic, for a little star next to the product name, is not a sound idea.
