Royal Mail UK from USA order times & customs

I felt as Ceretropic is quite popular on Reddit Nootropics I would post up my experience with my first two ceretropic orders. My review of ceretropic is 5 star, communication & postage time. Royal Mail, not so much.

I made one order on May 10 (2g Bromantane) & The other one May 11 (4x5mg vial TB500). They were both posted next working day by Ceretropic using first class USPS international & tracking numbers.

The May 10 was about $36 and arrived on 28 may (18 days, no customs charge and the May 11 one (which totalled about $130) I was notified today for a £14.64 charge (which includes a £8 handling fee and further 2 days delivery time).

Never saw royal mail take so long. I have had things from USA & China arrive from Monday - Monday! Maybe it was because it was powders?

Anybody more experienced about this than me? Could I calculate these customs charges in advance so I can work out how much things cost better? Is it really 20 days for an order to arrive each and every time?!

Yah I might have to use UPS next time. When you kind of hope its 5-7 days and end up with 22 days it interferes with ongoing research. Plus its a long time for peptides to be outside the fridge.

Yeah, I completely agree. It seems to be a Royal Mail/customs thing. Packages going USPS to Holland get there in a couple days without issue. UPS to UK seems to get there without issue. It's just USPS to UK that is taking longer at the moment.
