We have a team member in China who does onsite visits / audits our partner manufacturers and researches the structure of the supply chain a number of times a year.
Being there in person allows us to directly see what's really going on, ensure the suppliers actually produce the products (many companies are just trading firms), and verify that their production facilities actually do operate to the quality and safety standards indicated by their manufacturing certificates and licenses.
There appears to be a considerable supply demand mismatch in unallocated Tianeptine production at the moment. This tightness extends back to the precursor materials (some factories make their own precursors in house, others only perform the last steps in the production of Tianeptine and must buy the precursors from outside sources).
Despite prepayment and locking in Tianeptine 60+ days in advance of scheduled production, we expect the possibility of periodic out of stock and/or price hike issues on Tianeptine from NewMind to continue over the next month or two. Other vendors may be noticing a similar tight supply demand balance on this item.

Yeah, the supply lines are slowing down. As more people hear about it, demand increases. The supply seems to lag behind that increasing demand at the moment. It sucks having to wait weeks to months before being able to get more product in. Then Colin is going slow right now too. So we have to wait even longer for the testing to conclude. So much waiting!
