That does make me curious. As a company who sells what are arguably drug products (as much as everyone would be loathe to admit it), have you implemented, or considered implementing, some kind of quality system (like ISO 9001 or GMP), at least in regards to your analysis, packaging, and documentation procedures?
Edit: that doesn't apply to your R&D efforts, of course, but for your distribution. Do you retain samples? Would you be able to do an effective recall, if you had to? Etc.

Yes, we are setting all that up now. My new research chemist has already created most of the processes, and is integrating them into our workflow. We have used internal batch numbers for a while, but did not have all the tracking software/documents needed to be fully GMP and ISO. For instance, you need to not only have batch numbers for the contents of a container, but the container has to have a unique code as well. Then you need a document tracking what batches were in that container on certain dates. So we are getting all that integrated into our processes now.
