Home made caffeine drinks vs redbull/other energy drinks.

Hi there. I know that many of you have a caffeine in your daily stack. I've tried many forms of caffeine and I am little bit confused.
Every form of caffeine consumption gives me a really different experience. I am taking about 100mg of caffeine, early in the morning on empty stomach in the form of either espresso, caffeine pill or energy drink.
The least pleasurable experience is while drinking espresso. I am too nervous, a little bit anxious and have gastro problems. Sometimes I am more focused sometimes quite an opposite. I definitely feel my verbal fluency rising but sometimes I can't stop talk which is bad either.
The caffeine pills (50-200mg) does hit my body but in wrong direction and I can't see any nootropic benefits. I mean any - none pros to my mind/brain/soul. I've tried many vendors, with and without l-theanine.
The last form is drinking energy drink. And whoaa. It is working like a charm. I drink redbull or alternative one with sugar or sugarless (so sugar rush is not in equation). The thing is these drinks makes me feel in the moment, focused, raising my mood, lowering my anxiety. It is something that definitely hit my brain in positive way.
I would like to not…

N-acetyl-L-tyrosine? I tried making a caffeine/tyrosine salt but to no one's surprise, that didn't work. I don't know much about organic salts at the moment.

How do the effects compare? And is it possible to make at home? Not that I want to take business away from you but I have a kilo of caffeine downstairs and I expect this solution to start out rather expensive at first...

Speaking of which, is n-acetyl-l-theanine a possibility? I'd like to see a salt of caffeine and theanine--I bet that'd be a huge hit.

It's not going to be that expensive. This is a product we are planning on bringing to a much larger audience.

We have a lot of new ideas in the pipeline. That is one thing we are not in short supply of. I am just trying to catch the legal and business end of things up, and not get ahead of ourselves. I have some seriously cool things down the road!

Something is wrong with this sub

Yep, my fault guys. I'll just stop posting, and things will get better. It's all on me... You can all go back to caffeine/L-theanine, long winded modafinil, and "does piracetam work" posts. No need to advance the communi

What is the best nootropic for someone looking primarily for a boost of energy and motivation that's stronger than caffeine but less extreme than amphetamines?

6mg of melatonin is too much. I take .5-1mg. Melatonin has been shown to be much more effective at lower doses. Lower your dose and see how that works. 6mg would mean a very hard time waking up, and hours of foggyness in

I wrestled with that one for a long long time. I don't blame you for being disappointed. The vast majority of the products we are releasing are not going to be proprietary. However, the Alcohol Defense definitely needed

A word on caffeine + l-theanine

Replying to AoE-Priest · Both interesting studies. The first one actually also showed some anti-nootropic effects of theanine as well, but overall both studies seem to be suggestive of at least minor syner

L-theanine is certainly anti-nootropic for me, unless I am using much stronger stimulants than caffeine. Everyone's GABAergic system is going to vary. Mine has seen some things. I can take all sorts of stimulants, and be

Anyone else take L-theanine every day?

Replying to zpkmook · You could say the same for most drugs. It is new in it's isolated concentrated form. Plenty of people think that it could be dangerous in the high dose ranges because they have not

You can't really say that about most drugs, though. Not much has been used more than caffeine, L-theanine, and alcohol across human history. Also, it's not new in its concentrated form. It was discovered in 1949, and fir
