Hi there. I know that many of you have a caffeine in your daily stack. I've tried many forms of caffeine and I am little bit confused.
Every form of caffeine consumption gives me a really different experience. I am taking about 100mg of caffeine, early in the morning on empty stomach in the form of either espresso, caffeine pill or energy drink.
The least pleasurable experience is while drinking espresso. I am too nervous, a little bit anxious and have gastro problems. Sometimes I am more focused sometimes quite an opposite. I definitely feel my verbal fluency rising but sometimes I can't stop talk which is bad either.
The caffeine pills (50-200mg) does hit my body but in wrong direction and I can't see any nootropic benefits. I mean any - none pros to my mind/brain/soul. I've tried many vendors, with and without l-theanine.
The last form is drinking energy drink. And whoaa. It is working like a charm. I drink redbull or alternative one with sugar or sugarless (so sugar rush is not in equation). The thing is these drinks makes me feel in the moment, focused, raising my mood, lowering my anxiety. It is something that definitely hit my brain in positive way.
I would like to not…

Energy drink companies use different forms of Caffeine, like citrate, and different ionically bonded complexes to increase solubility and absorption. Most of those are proprietary formulas, though. So they just list the amount of the caffeine base in the drink. Just putting anhydrous caffeine freebase into a drink, with some B vitamins, Taurine, and Inositol, is not going to lead to the same pharmacodynamics.
