Looks like it could be an interesting replacement for Caffeine. There was a post over on /r/Supplements a month ago, and Examine has a page on it, but /r/Nootropics is showing no posts on it.

Oh well if you've had a chance to put it through the paces, what do you make of the claim that theacrine is like caffeine but doesn't build tolerance? The latter part seems too good to be true; if so then it would be like the holy grail of stimulants.

I have not used it long enough to comment on tolerance. Also, I have a pretty hefty caffeine tolerance as it is. It's going to take someone in a naive state to really put it through its paces.

What is the best nootropic for someone looking primarily for a boost of energy and motivation that's stronger than caffeine but less extreme than amphetamines?

This is a big problem I am seeing with people new to nootropics. They want to immediately jump into a stack, and do not want to put in the time to try thing by themselves, and see how each one affects them in isolation.
