Why do I feel so great after dosing icariin?

I've noticed that, since starting occasional consumption of 500-750 mg of Icariin (40% from powdercity) - that I feel great! I feel confident, pro-social, my brain fog appears to lift and I can empathize with people easier. I originally got it for some intimate moments, but didn't think it would feel like an anti-depressant. To clarify, I've used this occasionally since two months ago, and whenever I use it, I get those effects. There appears to be tolerance if I use it everyday for a week though.
What is the mechanism? Does it increase dopamine/serotonin?
Other information:
I don't respond to MACA, aniracetam, pramiracetam is iffy, I respond to high-doses of piracetam, and noopept puts me in a weird headspace.
Here is what I found:

It is behind a paywall, so I've uploaded the paper here. http://www.docdroid.net/r373/1-s20-s0091305705003709-main.pdf.html
I may edit this with my summary of that paper.

Oh yeah! I've had nights when I'm out clubbing in the cold and by the time I get home it feels like I'm lugging to clubs on the end of my ankles. Not good.
Yoga has helped a lot. Closed-fist pushups in particular have really developed the vasculature in my hands. I've tried doing shoulder stands followed by quickly rising to standing position to try and flow the blood in and out of my feet, but it hasn't worked as well. My feet have tiny bits of dead bone in the tips of all of the toes, though (they didn't catch that I had Raynaud's right away, unfortunately :( ). Dancing has really been the only thing that's helped with the feet, so far, and not much, at that (sometimes all it takes for my feet to start going numb is extra pressure).
Cold feet is the worst, though! You can always run warm water over your hands in somebody's restroom, but I generally just have access to a shower/space heater before I can fix that, and you might as well try to warm up a bunch of cold rocks in your boots for all they're worth once the cold has a hold.
So I imagine you've been checked for thyroid issues/tried a kelp or iodine supplement? Kelp seemed to help with me, but only sometimes.

Yeah, I've run through all the tests. Nothing stands out. If I take EGCG and Ephedrine, I get some thermogenesis going, and my extremities heat up. However, I am normally pretty cold to the touch in my hands feet and ears. I also react very poorly to vasoconstriction. Any little bit makes it hard to tolerate. L-Citruline/L-Arginine helps a bit.
