Vitamin B12 supplementation has noticeable effect on me, yet it shouldn't. What gives?

I took a sub-lingual Jarrow 5000 Methyl B-12 supplement, and felt more energetic and felt a dull sensation on my forhead.

The problem is that I researched B-12 defficiency on the internet and there is no way I have one given my diet.

What is going on? I have taken many noots before, and this doesn't feel like placebo. I feel like I am going insane because I can't convince myself that I the affect it had on me was illusory when it was more far noticeable than most other Nootropics. Is there any way B-12 could actually have an affect on me even if I am not deficient (or at least shouldn't be deficient)?

Hey dude, sorry to be butting in the middle of the conversation. I stumbled upon this comment chain because you are on my friend list.

Could you please take a look at my genetic genie profile as well.

I made a post in /r/Supplements asking the same, but the thread got nowhere.

You've got similar mutations to the guy above, with a few differences. Lower ability to make D from sunlight, and slow at converting homocysteine to methionine. However, you do not have the 677T or MAO-A mutations, so you will probably not need methylfolate. Strangely enough, your CBS A360A mutation means that you also do not create homocysteine as well. That means you probably do not tolerate sulfur as well, so it's probably best to limit your intake of sulfur containing foods.

Your MTRR A66G mutation means you cannot methylate B12 very well. So you should supplement with Methyl B12. Normally you would want to balance the methyl B12 out with methylfolate. However, your mutations are a bit strange. Methyl B12 might be enough on its own.

So I would start with Vitamin D, Methyl B12, and Trimethylglycine.
