Racetams and Libido

Throwaway for some obvious reasons but I am generally pretty active around here. This is also not a joke, and there are some relatively graphic but relevant descriptions here.

I took my first foray into noots with some piracetam two summers ago. It was interesting; I felt an improvement in my cognitive function, definitely saw the color enhancement that people often discuss associated with racetams, etc. etc. One odd side effect that I noticed was that it seemed to mess with my ability to get erections (at age 21 no less). I still had the same sex drive, but I would sort of just lose a boner mid-jacking off even if watching porn. Orgasms were a bit odd too - I wouldn't really "shoot" like I used to, and it didn't feel as good or as intense. I probably should have cut it out there, but I just thought it was an odd side effect that would go away when I stopped taking it, and I was interested in the cognitive improvements.

A few months later I got a girlfriend. My sex drive was no problem; we would have sex 1-2 times a day. Again, it was a bit weird though: I would cum not that hard, sort of keep a boner, and be able to keep going. She actually commented on how she couldn't tel…

I too noticed a change (for the better) in my libido. Seems my focus became more intense towards my artwork, less for the satisfaction of physical needs. As a man of 61, I am glad to have this re-focus, which I think began with noopept, finished with the racetams, especially for a visual artist, 1st, piracetam, 2nd, aniracetam, 3rd, coluracetam, and 4th, fasorastam. I always found that in every relationship I've had, my art fell to disgrace. when single, and maintaining that, my art flourished. sublimation, no doubt.
I will say this, the racetams have enabled me to re-connect to my art as if I were in my youth. A more powerful drive, a hyper-focus, and a sustained focus, far surpassing that of my early youth. I have a strong sex drive, yet the distractions seem less, my creative focus is enhanced, and for me at my age, it's better than sex (for me). That was my inner thoughts behind my taking up nootropics (i.e., racetams)

It might affect younger people a little differently, by putting us over the useful curve, and causing down-regulation. Did you notice the enhancements were constant?

Racetams are not pointless without choline. There are a lot of other actions they have apart from facilitating ACh transmission. You also cannot bundle all the racetams together like that. Many of them have very differe

It's the same author that wrote the piracetam one in 2019. What happened to piracetam after that? I think we would be naive to think this won't have a similar effect.
