Tianeptine: Something needs to be done
Original post in this thread

Almost daily there is a new thread or comment regarding abuse of Tianeptine. Just yesterday evening there was a post asking how often one can mega-dose tinaeptine safely. One reply is from a gentleman who advocated the safety of IV injecting 100mg+ on a regular basis, as he's done so "safely" for the last two months. IMHO mega-dosing Tianeptine is tantamount to drug abuse; and at these doses has serious implications for addiction and harm. Additionally, many of us find great relief from ailments such as depression, anxiety, and for me PTSD when other treatments have failed. The continued abuse and advocation of by a small minority will undoubtedly lead to a stricter regulation of this otherwise incredible compound, leaving many of us who use it responsibly at therapeutic doses choosing to return to a life without or risk the legal and health implications of buying Tianeptine on the underground market.
I am coming forward to ask the moderators of /r/nootropics to officially ban any submissions that advocate the so-called "safety" of mega-dosing Tianeptine for the long term, and perhaps begin labeling all Tianeptine posts as "DANGEROUS" as we do other potentially habit forming…

I'm new to reddit so this might be a stupid question, but can the mods just lock the post and put some kind of big disclaimer at the top of it saying something like "the actions described below are extremely dangerous and should not be attempted. Substance abuse hurts oneself and the greater community. This post has been flagged so that future readers can learn what NOT to do."

Yes, we can do that. I will speak to the other mods about how we might handle it.
