Possibly, opioid addicts don't care about the side-effects so much. They just want to relieve the constant pain they feel during withdrawal...

I had to use a lot of oxycodone after my failed shoulder surgery, and the one after to fix it. It was a long hard road to recovery, that had me taking 7.5mg oxy every 2 hours at one point. The issues one has coming off a real opioid like that, are insanely different than tianeptine. It's so subtle at first. It just makes you better. It makes everything better. It creeps up on you like that, till one day you cannot be you without it. Opiate addiction is no joke.
