Nootropics are part of YCombinators new "Request for Startups" list

PHARMACEUTICALS
Drug development has gotten slower and more expensive.
We’d like to fund companies doing this in new ways. We take a broad view of this–we’re interested in things that may not become prescription drugs but still really help people. Areas like nootropics seem under explored.

Maybe Ceretropic wants to apply to YC? :-)
To be serious, they are probably looking for companies that are more into drug development then selling chemicals to people on the internet, but its still a very interesting tidbit. Although, "disrupting" pharmacies anyone?

We've already had a lot of interest from investment sources. Money is not that big of an issue. Control and legality are the biggest issues for us. There is a ceiling to how high we can go, under the current structure we are using. We are eventually going to have to break apart the various parts of what we offer, and have separate companies behind them. You can only do so much, before you attract the attention of the government.

But don't worry, I am going to make sure we do some very interesting things down the road. I am not the type of person to get comfortable doing one thing.
