Just tried tianeptine for the first time. All it did was make me EXHAUSTED. Is this a common side effect?

No affect on mood or cognition, just extremely tired and a bit antsy. Is this common?

Wow, thank you very much for that explanation. Do you happen to know if any of those areas correspond to movement/locomotion?
I've been battling chronic akathisia for some time. The problem is that a lot of dopaminergics (outside of the selective dopamine agonists) also boost NE, which can make the problem worse. I'd been wondering for some time whether or not Tianeptine might be helpful, since I know it boosts DA (though perhaps not in the requisite areas), but was unsure of its effects on NE.

The parietal sensory cortex plays a role in movement. Whether or not it plays a role in the subjective view of one's energy, I am not sure.
