Memantine and it's effect on sleep

I recently discovered an effect memantine has on my sleep. If i take it before I go to bed, usually really late between 3-6, and wake up just a few hours later for work at 7, I feel zero exhaustion whatsoever. I really just feel the effects of the drug. It also helps glutamate rebound and low blood sugar side effects massively in the morning during a hangover, additionally.
Has anyone experienced this with memantine? I understand its a purely anecdotal observation, but I suspect something is going on due to memantine.
What do you guys suspect? May it affect this though it's uncompetitive NMDA antagonism?

Sorry if you already posted about this - I have had finals recently and haven't been checking this sub as much as I usually do :P I was thinking about picking some up from you guys just to try it so I can have some personal experience with this substance.

Memantine for me basically just eliminates the static in my thoughts. There is at least a few day adjustment period, until your brain can up-regulate your ACh receptors. However, starting with a small dose, then slowly bringing it up, minimizes that. If you go right into a 10mg dose, you will have some braingfog for a few days.
Once you are past the adjustment period, you pretty much feel normal, but level. It seems to smooth out the thought processes. I have less anxiety, and less thoughts dwelling on things that I shouldn't. It also resets your tolerance to many things. Caffeine is more effective while on it, as well as other stimulants. I even notice a big increase in effects from kratom while on memantine. So at least in my case it works very well to reset tolerance.
