Memantine and it's effect on sleep

I recently discovered an effect memantine has on my sleep. If i take it before I go to bed, usually really late between 3-6, and wake up just a few hours later for work at 7, I feel zero exhaustion whatsoever. I really just feel the effects of the drug. It also helps glutamate rebound and low blood sugar side effects massively in the morning during a hangover, additionally.
Has anyone experienced this with memantine? I understand its a purely anecdotal observation, but I suspect something is going on due to memantine.
What do you guys suspect? May it affect this though it's uncompetitive NMDA antagonism?

Memantine's half life is 80 hours, so the time you take it should not make a huge difference.
Another anecdote: I started getting very vivid dreams after a couple weeks on memantine. Have you noticed any changes in your dreams?
