"Sprayable Energy" revisited

Original post in this thread

Back in August, I, along with 3,042 other fools from whom money is easily parted, jumped on the sprayable caffeine bandwagon and supported the Sprayable Energy Indiegogo campaign. Founded by a former biochem Harvard student, a PhD, and a wealthy investor, Sprayable Energy promised 40+ doses of caffeine per bottle you spray onto your skin, equal to about 40 cups of coffee, and "the end of tired." To combat the poor skin absorption rate of caffeine, they added tyrosine isopropyl ester HCl, which they found makes it pass through skin more easily. Also promised was a more gradual release of caffeine, avoiding the buzz followed by a crash of coffee or energy drinks.

"Homeopathic Energy?"

This all sounded well and good, and I happily ordered up a bottle to give it a try. However, when I finally received it the other day and looked a the package, the first thing I noticed was the drug facts. The product is "officially monographed in the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States," and the active ingredient is listed as "Caffeinum 1XHPUS." Apparently, after they began the Indiegogo campaign, one of the founder…

That product is ineffective at best, and a complete scam at worst. The amount of caffeine you need is not able to be absorbed through the skin in any meaningful amounts. Caffeine is almost 100% orally bioavailable. Swallow it and forget about it.

The time has finally come to launch our nootropics site! For those of you that don’t know, a fellow Redditor, /u/guacamolium, approached me a while back. He was interested in starting a nootropics vendor, and thought par

Has anyone tried Excelerol? I'm interested in trying it because it is apparently one of the best nootropics out there, but I'm a bit suspicious because I've never heard anyone talk about it on this subreddit.

Yep, my fault guys. I'll just stop posting, and things will get better. It's all on me... You can all go back to caffeine/L-theanine, long winded modafinil, and "does piracetam work" posts. No need to advance the communi

A Note Regarding Ceretropic's Caffeine/NALT

TLR were not telling people the ingredients. I never expected them to explain their production processes. I expected them to tell people the compounds they were consuming, rather than giving them proprietary names. I did

What is the best nootropic for someone looking primarily for a boost of energy and motivation that's stronger than caffeine but less extreme than amphetamines?

Replying to [deleted] · In case anybody wants to accomplish this with drugs, I've been using 60mg vyvanse + 1g psilocybin mushrooms for a while. Take both with a hardy meal and 2 glasses of water.

Are you joking or serious? You take amphetamines and a low dose of psilocybin as nootropics?

Less may be More

Replying to Reeses007 · Totally agree with this. I would recommend people trying ingredients by themselves in order to build a stack that they react well to. I've never understood the mentality to use abs

This is a big problem I am seeing with people new to nootropics. They want to immediately jump into a stack, and do not want to put in the time to try thing by themselves, and see how each one affects them in isolation.
