Best time to take phenibut?

I'm going out tomorrow night, just wondering what would people recommend as the best time to dose phenibut? I'm still experimenting with it, and have had mixed results. I was thinking of just .500 grams a couple of hours before going out, but I'm wondering would it be worth taking .500 before bed tonight, the same in the morning, and the same before going out?
Also interested in hearing how people dose phenibut in general, do you topup during the day or just take one dose either in the morning or evening and thats it?
Thanks

The GABA-B down-regulation is the issue with phenibut, since its action is GABA-B agonism.
Yes, but it appears GABA B and A agonists upregulate each other, so you could conceivably alternate between the two in order to allow each to recover. Granted strong modulators of either are probably not safe for long term, frequent use.
Kava does not bind to GABA receptors directly, but is more of an allosteric modulator of GABA-A.
So are benzos, which develop tolerance.
L-theanine is more of a subtle GABA modulator, as it merely increases your body's natural GABA production.
Too subtle for my taste. But I know many people derive benefits from it, so I'm not one to judge.

Yes, you could conceivably use an alternating regimen of each to prevent tolerance buildup.
And yes, benzos are allosteric modulators of the GABA-A receptors as well. However, kava does not bind to the same site. So their tolerance profiles are different. I fear we are oversimplifying things a bit too much.
