MisterYouAreSoDumb,
On Longecity there is a group purchase of a compound called Pitolisant. It is an H3 Histamine agonist that increases wakefulness by releasing histamine and indirectly causes dopamine release in the pre-frontal cortex. This compound is of great interest to me because I suffer from excessive daytime sleepiness, from sleep apnea (and very possibly mild hypoxic brain damage).
I recently purchased 3 grams of this compound, and it should arrive soon by mail.
I don't know whether the seller, or the manufacturer, are reliable. Is submitting a sample to dancesafe.org the best way to determine if the compound is pure? And if the compound is only 90% or 95% pure (for example) will I know whether the other compounds in the sample are safe?

We were actually just scammed by a Chinese supplier for what was supposed to be Pitolisant. It turned out to be baking soda. I cannot comment on which supplier Yadayda is using on Longecity, as he will not tell us. However, I will say that he described his pitolisant as tasting exactly as ours did, a slightly salty white powder. Since there is nothing on the chemical structure that would give off a salty flavor, I would suspect that his supply is also baking soda. That, or he was lying to us about the taste.
As far as testing is concerned, Dancesafe would not be the best bet. I would use Colmeric Analyticals, as they are easy to work with and give good prices. The owner Colin works with me all the time.
P.S. I don't want to say that the Longecity group buy is for sure baking soda. I just know that ours was 100% baking soda, and Yadayada said his supply tasted exactly the same.
