SAM-e as a nootropic

I haven't seen many threads at all regarding SAM-e as a nootropic. (I've been taking it for a week so far, 400mg for thee days, then up to 800 at this point. No effects felt yet.)

Any thoughts /experiences?

Have you had some genetic testing done? Or do you believe you are a poor methyl donor just through experience/trial and error?

Yes, 23andme. Then I ran the raw data through a methylation analysis.
