I'm ok with patents for specific substances or methods that achieve this, as I'm sure it will take a lot of money to bring something like that to market. I am NOT ok with them trying to patent the entire concept of increasing this protein expression by any means possible! That would be like me find out that your body uses ATP as its energy store, then filing a patent for any possible way of increasing levels of ATP. Not only that, the patent covers any method to test or measure RbAp48 levels. Literally even looking at this protein expression will be a violation of the patent...
