That dosage is 5-10 times the amount you need to take. .5mg is the ideal dosage for every day supplementation. If it's in pill form, weigh the pills out, crush them up, then divide that weight into 10 amounts. Then you have your .5mg per night. Or get a new brand.

5mg daily will most definitely cause a tolerance, and give unwanted side effects after a while.
