How do companies import piracetam for sale in the United States, if it is not allowed to be sold by the fda?

Since going through customs, companies need to declare any products. Wouldnt racetams be prohibiting from entering the country as prohibited for being sold? What is the procedure for importing it in bulk for sale?

Piracetam is not a prohibited substance. It it legal to import. However, the FDA can choose to go after companies that sell it for human consumption, as it's not an approved drug. That is at the discretion of the FDA. Customs will not confiscate piracetam shipments unless the FDA declares that the recipient is selling for human consumption, and instructs them to stop it.
