In layman/eli5 terms, whats the greatest impact do you see this research having on pre/post loading for various types of illicit drugs?

If you're referring to MDMA, THC has long been known to help attenuate neurotoxicity. This effect arises due to the fact that THC helps lower body temperatures. However, the fact that it raised BDNF in the frontal cortex is pretty cool. This could suggest that low doses of THC could help the brain rebuild axon terminals, similar to Lion's Mane mushrooms.
More research would need to be done to see if this is a dose-dependent response. Perhaps higher doses of THC lose this effect.
