Searching for Experts on Nootropics to Give Talk

I have to agree with this. I've always seen nootropics as a kind of web based sub-culture, almost pseudo-science or 'broscience' as others have called it... that's not to say it's not interesting and/or valuable and the subculture could blossom into something else in the future... maybe better testing could be done, one thing that concerns me about scientific literature is that the models are so different and diverse, usually not looking at cognitive enhancement itself, nootropics are always bi-products of unrelated science... would love to see real science done, but it is actually a hard thing to do... however, I think it would be interesting to see a lecture about the subculture and the growing phenomenon of internet based drug research, I've mentioned before that this is becoming a kind of cloud-based scheduled testing, however weird or absurd that seems, it lacks serious scientific controls, so it's hard to see that represented at TedX. That beind said, I don't know about TedX being so closed, I mean I was reading all this furor over the Graham Hancock 'War on Consciousness' talk and the whole psychedelic subculture is a similar kind of thing to the nootropic scene... people may be shocked that I even think that, but the parallels are obvious to me. again, that's not to say something can't be garnished from either of these vibrant communities, they're both onto *somethi…
