Any interest in a subredit for older nootropics users?

I have been thinking of starting a sub for older nootropics users such as myself. I have not seen anything specifically in this vein. I am 62, and have many of the symptoms related to early onset Dementia, such as foggy brain, heavy memory issues, both short and long term and reduced analytical ability. I found this sub as part of my efforts to educate myself in the subject and to see what these substances could possibly do for me. After about 2 weeks of using a basic stack I can report some improvement, but would like to see what could be done to further improve my mental situation. As I said in an earlier post, my brain is my single most valuable possession, if it breaks down any further I am basically done.
Edit 3/27: Doubled up on the Choline dosage today to about 500mg total, will see how the 3pm droop is affected.
After work: Today turned out to be a non standard day, as I had to go out to demo some software to a prospect. Any time I can get out of the office and be driven around the south west Ontario area at 80km/h, looking at windgens and massive greenhouses my eyes (and my mind) feel better. Time they invented the brain-interface-to-the-internet-Wi-Fi-chip. I would be…

Understood. Morning after breakfast: 25mg Noopept, 150mg CDP Choline, 500mg ALCAR, 100mg Theanine, Coffee, 1g2 Fishoil, 65mg Ginko, Multivitamin. After Lunch: 25mg Noopept, 150mg Choline, 200mg Sulbutiamine, 400mg Pramiracetam, 100mg Theanine, 1g2 Fishoil, more coffee. Mid afternoon: 65mg Ginko, Vit A+D, coffee. Mental status prior to starting this regime: Brain fog, inability to focus, short and long term memory loss, fatigue, especially in the afternoons, basically the inability to do my job (IT project manager) Since starting, brain fog lifting, better recall, especially short and medium term, more confidence, less depression. Still have the afternoon fatigue, especially as my eyes get tired. I lose the ability to think and focus. To address the eye fatigue, around which much of the mental acuity seems to revolve, I take a 1 mile walk before lunch, and rest my eyes in the dark after lunch for 20 minutes. I take another 1 mile walk around 3pm, which helps my eyes, and thus the mental ability. My confidence is returning slowly as my depression lifts. I take 150mg Trazodone at night to help me sleep, without remembering my dreams, which are generally bad, anxiety filled, flashbacks, nightmares especially from my 8 years in combat. I have mild bipolarism, mostly manic, which (used) to make me a good problem solver and some PTSD from a dysfunctional childhood and the aforementio…

First I'll start with the nootropic stack.
Noopept is good, but is going to take time to build up. I also think you need to lower your dose. 25mg is usually to high for most people on a regular basis. I take 15mg and that is perfect. You might be different, though.
CDP choline is good.
ALCAR is good.
Theanine and caffeine are also good. You may need to increase your L-theanine dose, though. That all depends on how much coffee you are drinking.
Fish oil is good.
Drop the ginkgo. There has been no proof that it has any cognitive benefit.
You need to add more antioxidants to your stack. Na-R-ALA should definitely be one of them. I'd also add CoQ10 in there as well.
Pyrroloquinoline quinone is another one that someone brought to my attention recently. That would be a very good addition to your stack for antioxidant and NMDA modulating purposes.
I would also add a cooenzymated B complex to help with energy. You might also try adding in trimethylglycine if you are a low methylator like I am. It certainly gives me energy.
Pramiracetam is a good one, but can increase NOS levels. The antioxidants I mentioned will protect from that, especially Pyrroloquinoline quinone.
I'm skeptical of the Sulbutiamine. I'd keep it for now.
EDIT: I totally forgot bacopa!!! You need that.

Now then there is the PTSD and depression. Those are going to be harder to address. Depression is usually a unique and hard to approach issue. I could talk about that with you privately if you wish to. I went through an extremely bad depression, and almost took my life on a few occasions. It's a scary place to be.
I know this might sound crazy, but have you looked into MDMA to help work through your PTSD? There have been huge advances recently using MDMA assisted psychotherapy to help PTSD patients. The sheer amount of emotion that MDMA allows you to deal with cannot be described in words. It's truly a life changing experience. It changed my life immensely. Have a look at the articles below and see what you think.
