I have been thinking of starting a sub for older nootropics users such as myself. I have not seen anything specifically in this vein. I am 62, and have many of the symptoms related to early onset Dementia, such as foggy brain, heavy memory issues, both short and long term and reduced analytical ability. I found this sub as part of my efforts to educate myself in the subject and to see what these substances could possibly do for me. After about 2 weeks of using a basic stack I can report some improvement, but would like to see what could be done to further improve my mental situation. As I said in an earlier post, my brain is my single most valuable possession, if it breaks down any further I am basically done.

After work: Today turned out to be a non standard day, as I had to go out to demo some software to a prospect. Any time I can get out of the office and be driven around the south west Ontario area at 80km/h, looking at windgens and massive greenhouses my eyes (and my mind) feel better. have you checked the examine.com entry on ginkgo? I don't think you can conclusively say "There has been no proof that it has any cognitive benefit."

I do my own research, but I humored you and looked at the examine entry too. What was I greeted by?
Ginkgo Biloba shows moderate efficacy in boosting cognition but is not highly reliable in human studies. It may be soon displaced by more promising Nootropic compounds like Bacopa Monnieri or Yamabushitake
If you read the entry, you'll see that it's saying there is not much evidence for cognitive enhancement. If you look at the editors note, you'll even see a recommendation to skip using it.
