Dosing of NA-R-ALA (Alpha Lipoic Acid) as a nootropic?

I know ALA dosing is very specific to the desired effect. At low doses is it a rather nice antioxidant. At super high mega doses (over 1000mg IIRC) it is an awesome dietary aid. I have seem some talk about ALA as a nootropic (specifically for ADHD), at what doses is it effective for this?

IIRC I was paying ~$32 for a bottle of 30 @100mg each. Post workout I was taking 5.
It got expensive quick, I gave it up. :P

Damn dude! I pay $15 for a bottle of Doctor's Best 100mg Na-R-ALA, 30 count. You were paying twice as much. Ain't nobody got dimes for that!
