Rhodiola Rosea questions!

Hey guys, just a few questions regarding Rhodiola Rosea. I've Googled and searched Reddit, Longecity etc, but there seems to be conflicting views.
1. Does a tolerance build up? If so, how long does this take? Will I need to cycle every other day or do a 3 week on - 1 week off cycle?
2. Are the MAOI properties of this significant? What are the affects of having this with L-Tyrosine? What should I not combine it with?
3. What is this talk about cheese being bad!?
Cheers!

1) According to this chronic use of rhodiola rosea isn't a problem for rats who are forced to swim. Maybe the rats "got used" to the effects, but the effects didn't diminish after a few weeks.
(Also, is this saying the rats were tested every day or were just given the rhodiola rosea extract every day and tested after a few weeks of it)
That was the only science I could find on tolerance from a quick googling.
2) Tough to answer. I haven't heard of it being an MAOI. The only herb I've heard warnings said about is St. Johns Wort. However, it does look like it is an MAOI to a certain extent. If in doubt, don't combine it. MAOIs are not incredibly dangerous and can definitely be taken safely, but you should be more aware of what other drugs you take with them. One other thing you should avoid while taking any MAOIs is...
3) CHEESE! As a Wisconsinite, it saddens me to tell you that cheese isn't the cure for all that ails you. But it does look like cheese contains Tyramine, which releases dopamine, norepinephrine, and a whole host of other stuff in your body but not your brain. (So sort of like amphetamine that doesn't affect your brain?). Anyway, Monoamine Oxidase usually breaks down Tyramine, but with an MAOI, it will of course not do that.…

That is an important distinction to make. Peripheral MAOIs are going to have different risks than MAOIs in the CNS.
