Why does Grapefruit Juice potentiate so many different drugs?

From morphine and ketamine all the way to caffeine; how come this is the case?
I've heard that white grapefruit juice is best and that juice from concentrate is even better.
Is this something which has been isolated and made available as a supplement / whatever it would be?

Just saw your other post on the dopamine theory so my bad.
Thanks.
Or you can just load up on a bunch of antioxidants to bind to the damaging substances once they are made.
This sounds easiest for now. Will do more research when I get the time, thanks.

Alpha lipoic acid, acetyl-L-carnitine, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, and N-acetylcystine are good ones.
