Bupropion (Wellbutrin) as a nootropic?

I was doing some research, and it turns out that Wellbutrin, which is commonly prescribed as an anti-depressant and as a quit-smoking aid, is actually considered substituted phenethylamine (notice anything else on that list?). It's not an SSRI or anything in that class, instead it works through norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibition. Essentially it should increase the amount of dopamine in your system. Off-label it's been used for ADHD, sexual dysfunction, even weight loss. It's safe except for a slight increase of the chance of seizure.

i haven't looked, i'm just sharing my own anecdotal experience along yours.
after reading this thread, and thinking about it, it did have a side effect at first. the first 2 weeks or so on the above dose (but not before then), i felt very spacey. but it went away after the first 2 weeks and i was surprised to find the improvement in memory.
edit: the wikipedia page has this line: "some improvement of cognitive and sexual functions" I didn't look into their sources, but they have them.

I'll have to do some more research into this. Most reports on Longecity say that it adversely affects any physical activity. Like it causes hypertension and heart palpitations.
