DEA Says It Will Ignore Marijuana Legalization
What they were answering

Well, the state Medical Marijuana laws are not unconstitutional but that doesn't seem to have stopped any raids. Looks like federal laws trump state ones, though I am not american and could (hopefully) be wrong.

This is exactly what started our civil war. However, that was a case for human rights. The states were on the wrong side of that one. This one on the other hand, is not. The federal government is on the wrong side of this argument. I have a feeling that we will see it go to the supreme court soon, if the DEA places federal charges on someone in Colorado or Washington.
