A friend's analogy of MDMA..

Original post in this thread

So a few friends and I were smoking the other night when one of them came up with the PERFECT description for the effects of MDMA. She claimed that it gives you the personality of a dog. "Think about it, everything is exciting and captures your full attention, you're ridiculously friendly to the point of cuddling everyone, even those you have only just met, and you're incredibly energetic." I don't know if you guys have ever thought about this before, but I think that this is pretty damn accurate.

EDIT: OK, it seems this idea was much more "perfect" when we were high. I still think it was a very good analogy and I appreciate hearing views from others!

Ohh make no mistake, I've done quite a bit. I've been so fucked up that I can barely walk straight. I've walked around Amsterdam speaking only in a stylized version of a British accent, greeting everyone on the street with "top of the mornin to ya." I went back to Amsterdam 8 months after that trip and walked into a bar. When I walked in I recognized the bartender, so I asked if he remembered me. His exact words were, "I remember YOU! You were fucked up! Haha." So I know the idea he is getting at. I just don't have the desire to cuddle with random strangers or writhe on the ground with people, and MDMA certainly does not make me more likely to do so. Be ridiculous and joke with people? Sure!

I've been to EDM events on 4 continents, and the only place that has an issue with underage kids getting fucked on drugs while in cuddle puddles and such, is the US. So perhaps I was a little harsh, but I hate seeing underage kids messed up, and I guess I associate it with cuddle puddles and panda unicorns. If you are responsible and an adult, I really don't care what you do. Have fun!
