I found this Gem on Facebook "To All Parents: Keep your Children away from Reddit.com"

Twitter is/has become the same way as well. A few months ago I tried to get a better understanding of the service and was completely turned off by the people who used the service. If you where to step back and look at the over all thread here on the initial post you will see what I meant when I posted that this morning. It only takes common sense to see how dark Reddit really has become with the behavior the users show on the site. There is only a handful of people who posted here who were courteous enough to try to get a better understanding of where I was coming from on this discussion instead of just being completely vial to me. I plan on writing a blog post, which I will also post in this group, on my one day experience with Reddit and what I was able to take away from it.

To be fair, the internet as a whole has many rude and vial people on it. It's not just a Reddit thing. Anonymity gives people the ability to say whatever they want with no real recourse. That being said, /r/atheism is not a good subreddit to be in. I suggest if you are going to write a blog post, do it in a different subreddit like /r/AskReddit. You will get a more rounded response than what you got here.
